Jane Ross graduated from Lausanne School in 1966. She received her bachelor's degree in French and English from Lake Erie College, a master's degree in French from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a teaching certificate from The University of Memphis.
Jane established Jane Ross Personalized Tutoring in 1978 in her home. Through a combination of workshops and/or private tutoring, students are able to improve classroom performance and increase ACT and SAT scores. The business has grown to include more than forty tutors. The company is now located in Cordova and includes not only office space but a classroom as well.
Jane and her husband, David, established the King Pins Special Olympics Bowling League in September of 1999 when their children, Jonathan and Julie, both went away to school. The League has grown to include almost 100 Special Olympic athletes, who meet every Monday from September through May.
